Rick Hagedorn is a professional speed and sports performance coach and a former high school football and track and field sprint coach from Orange County, California.

As a high school football coach, Coach Hagedorn is the proud owner of three CIF Championship rings and states that all three teams had two things in common: great players and great speed.

As a speed coach, he has privately trained many individual athletes and teams for sports requiring speed development. He not only trains high school athletes in getting ready for the Nike Combines, but also trains college football athletes in preparation for the NFL Draft and the various team Pro Days. He counts California CIF Champions in football, basketball and baseball, California State Champions in football and track and field, and a football seven time Hawaii State Champion as programs that have adopted the Speedburner approach to training.  As a Nike sponsored speed coach and a certified SPARQ national trainer in conjunction with Student Sports Magazine promoting Nike's "You're Faster Than You Think" speed initiative, the Nike Speed Showdown brought Speedburners to life, and convinced him to broaden his athlete base to accommodate the incredible demand for speed training. For that reason, Speedburners was founded in the summer of 2004.

Since then, the Speedburner system has spread across the country as he has visited many cities conducting speed camps and clinics. Coach Hagedorn says the most rewarding aspects about Speedburners is how well they are received in all of the cities, how much fun the athletes have while they're training, and seeing the difference it makes in their athletic performances in their respective sports.

Rick Hagedorn has written articles on speed development for Student Sports Magazine, Volleyball Magazine, SPARQ Magazine, and Athletes.com, the world's largest training site. He has been featured in Sports Illustrated for Kids Magazine, Local Hype Magazine, Nike SPARQ Training, CBS Sports Stars of Tomorrow, 1560 The Game Radio Show in Houston, ESPN Radio, ESPN Radio Hawaii, The Josh Pacheco Show, NBC Sports, NBC Sports Online, NBC Strikeforce Fights, America Online MMA, the Orange County Register, ABC Houston, and various newspapers around the country. Speedburners has been featured in video shoots for Local Hype Magazine, AquaHydrate water, 2XU compression gear, and an HBO training shoot featuring Ukrainian boxer Vasyl Lomachenko. He also has worked as a technical advisor for Nike on video, commercial and photo shoots and worked with LaDainian Tomlinson for action shots for ESPN the Magazine at the University of San Diego.

The belief that there is not a sport that isn't speed based is reflected in the athletes and sports represented in the Speedburner system. Sports and athletes in football, basketball, baseball, soccer, softball, lacrosse, swimming, golf, water polo, wrestling, mixed martial arts, volleyball, track and field, cross country, rugby, ice hockey, ice skating, dance, bobsled racing, and fitness, all employ speed.

Lindsay had a difficult decision to make her 11th grade year.  Should she continue the sport (soccer) that she has played her whole life or should she play the sport she picked up just a year earlier (field hockey).

Lindsay choose the later and she has worked her tail off to be one of the top goalies in all of Division 2 with save percentage and saves.  Her work ethic comes from a desire of being the best she possible can.

She takes 6 classes a seminar because not only does she have her major classes, but she also has a minor as well.  How she handles playing sports and school is she is organized.  That is one of the things she preaches is that you need to be organized to achieve success in life.

Her advice to kids or anyone out there is just try it.  DO not be afraid.

Lindsay is the Field Hockey goalie for the Bloomsburg Huskies.

Joe Cleezy is the publisher of the PA Preps.com on the Rivals.com Network.  He played Division II football at Millersville University.

After College Joe wanted to help kids go to college and gain exposure.  One way for him to do that was to make highlight tapes for the kids and also write articles about them on the local news website.  While both ways are not as common for kids to do anymore Joe passion for helping kids excel and market themselves is in full swing.

He focuses most of his attention on writing for Rivals.com and running high school showcases for the athletes.  Two of his showcases will be coming up March 8th and April 18th and he plans to run a 7 on 7 tournament for youth this summer.

Joe also wants the kids to understand that they must be proactive if they are going to get themselves seen by college coaches.  That means do not wait for your high school coach to contact coaches for you or do your highlight tape.  You are in charge of yourself and you need to do everything possible to get recruit.   That also means fill out Prospect Questionnaires and get to has many summer college camps and showcases as possble.
